HANNAH BAMLETT
This hat was completed for a second year university assignment with the brief to design and make a hat specific to the period 1918 to 1922.
The design of my hat was inspired by Eleanor Wilson Mcadoo, one of President Wilson’s daughters, who was a well known social figure distinguished by her elegant sense of style. The hat would be worn by her to a summer garden party held on Governor’s Island in New York in 1919.
